Andy Secore was named a reserve for the 2008 NLL All-Star Game in Edmonton on Saturday, March 16th. This is Secore' first All-Star appearance. - 02/25/08 - Cousins and Patterson Named All-Star Starters
The NLL announced the starters for the 2008 All-Star Game in Edmonton on Saturday, March 16th. For the first time, the Swarm had a player, I mean two players, named starters.
Ryan Cousins will be making his fourth All-Star appearance, all consecutive and all for the Swarm. This will be his first start in the All-Star game. The 2007 NLL Defensive Player of the Year has continued his excellence in 2008 with seven goals and four assists. He also has two overtime game winners this year in Toronto on January 11th and at The Hive against Portland on February 10th.
Nick Patterson is continuing his ascendancy as the NLL's top young goaltender. His six wins and 327 saves lead the NLL.
This will be his first All-Star appearance and of course his first All-Star start.
The reserves will be announced in the next few days.
