Minnesota Swarm 20-Man Roster for 2015

The Minnesota Swarm have not yet announced their 20-man active roster for the upcoming 2015 season but with today's transactions, it should look like this as today was the deadline. Nine players are new from the 2014 Swarm active roster at the end of last year. The high turnover kind of crept up on me and then I looked at today's roster and thought, almost half the team didn't play with them last year. It still doesn't beat the twelve new players they had when rosters were named leading up to the 2012 season.

- 73 - Dean Hill - Signed as a free agent
- 85 - Mitch Belisle - Spent 2014 on Protected Players List
- 88 - Joe Haodais Maracle - 2014 NLL Entry Draft pick Rd 2 Pk 10
Jersey numbers to make their Swarm regular season debut this year - 2. Still no one wearing #69.
The Swarm will have three assistant head coaches for the first time since 2007 this season with the addition of former Swarm player Rory McDade to the bench.
Three 2014 NLL Entry Draft picks made the final roster including Bradman who was a 2012 draftee that did not sign a NLL contract until this season due to contractual obligations with STX.
Callum Crawford enters this season as the Swarm's All-Time leader in goals, assists and points. He should reach 300 assists and 500 points as a member of the Swarm this year, if all goes according to plan.
Jordan MacIntosh should reach 100 goals, 100 assists ergo 200 points this season as a member of the Swarm. He is 34 points behind Chad Culp for fifth all-time in points for the Swarm and should pass Culp mid-season. MacIntosh will continue to add greatly to his loose balls and face off records all-time for the team.
If both Ian and Callum Crawford play together in a game this season, it will be the first time that brothers played together in a regular season game in Swarm history.
Brodie and Shane MacDonald are not brothers and as far as I know not even related. They certainly don't share the same height, that is for sure.
Dean Hill makes his return to the Blue and Gold after starting his career in 2006 in Minnesota going through midway 2009.
Last year's leading goal scorer, Logan Schuss, will start the season on the hold out list due to work and his availability this season is quite uncertain.
The Swarm place three players on the practice roster: Patrick Miles, Ian Crawford and Marcus Holman. The Swarm can have up to four players on the practice roster at any time during the season. They may figure that there is no need to keep Corbyn Tao on the practice roster since he is the only player living in the Twin Cities during the season and year-round. If they need him to play, it will be because somebody on the active roster was deactivated and they can quickly bring back Tao in a pinch especially for home games.
Nine players who were on the 2014 Swarm active roster at the end of last year are not on the active roster to start this year:

- 4 - Jeff Gilbert - Signed as free agent by Toronto
- 9 - Tyler Hass - Traded to Vancouver
- 12 - Cameron Flint - Placed on the Hold Out List
- 18 - Logan Schuss - Placed on the Hold Out List
- 30 - Tyler Carlson - Traded to Edmonton
- 81 - Josh Gillam - Placed on the Physically Unable to Perform List
- 84 - Corbyn Tao - Practice Roster
- 89 - Scott Jones - Released
