Go More in Depth in this Series

The Swarm will play the Rush for the first time at the X this weekend. The only game between the two teams occurred in the Rush's first season in 2006 in Edmonton. Brock Boyle scored the game winner on February 3 of that year to lead the Swarm to a 7-6 victory. Seven different players scored the seven goals for the Swarm in that game. The seven goals were the least amount of goals the Swarm have scored in a victory. The nickname "Rush" was one of four nicknames that fans had the opportunity to vote for as Minnesota's nickname prior to their first year. Along with the Swarm and Rush, the other two nicknames were Thrill and Bullheads.
