This will be the third straight year that the two-time defending champion Knighhawks host the Swarm at the Blue Cross Arena for a pre-season game. In 2011, Corbyn Tao scored three goals but the Swarm fell short by a score of 19-15. Last year, the Swarm held a late 10-9 lead but lost 11-10. Kiel Matisz led the Swarm with two goals in that game.

  • Andrew Suitor, as of the end of the first weekend of training camp, was not cleared for contact. Status for this weekend's games is unknown.
  • Brock Sorensen had a hamstring act up on him this past weekend and may see limited time.
  • Rochester will be fresh coming into the game while the Swarm played the night before.
  • The Knighthawks look to have up to 31 players available for the game. They are deep on defense so look for a fresh wave of defenders in the second half.
  • Knighthawk goaltending legend, Pat O'Toole, will be inducted in into the National Lacrosse League Hall of Fame prior to the game. In eleven games against the Swarm, O'Toole went 7-3 10.26 GAA and a .773 save %.
  • Former Swarm Jon Sullivan, Craig Point, Scott Self and Angus Goodleaf play for the Knighthawks. There are no former Knighthawks on the Swarm.
  • With this game shown live on the internet and in a NLL arena, expect this game for the Swarm to most resemeble what you will see on December 28th.
  • Look for Tyler Carlson to start in net with Zach Higgins to play the second half.
  • I believe that teams can only have 16 runners and 2 goaltenders dressed at a time. I figure right now that Suitor will not play and my hunch is neither will Masters, so that leaves the Swarm with 20 runners and 2 goaltenders. So I see maybe six out the front door for each half, with the other 10 out the back door. Then second half, you see a new forward, a transition player like Kiel Matisz and couple others to attack with new vigor. Of course, lineups will be partially determined by the individual performances the night before.
