Notes:

  • This is the fourth straight year that these two teams meet in Rochester in what seems to becoming a tradition. Rochester holds a 2-1 series lead in this Holiday Tradition but Scott Jones' goal with a second left won it for the Swarm, 16-15, last December.
  • The Swarm opened up training camp last night while Knighthawks had training camp start the weekend of November 22nd.
  • Look for goaltenders Zach Higgins and Brodie MacDonald to each get one half of playing time in net. That should be standard for all three pre-season games.
  • According to the Swarm's training camp preview, Mike Grimes will not be in camp. Acquired for Tyler Hass and Dane Stevens from the Stealth in August, Grimes was brought in to be a key cog on defense. There is no word how long Grimes' absence will be.
  • Sam Bradman's only NLL experience came in pre-season game against Rochester in December 2012 which he scored two goals.
  • Only 16 runners and two goaltenders can be dressed on the bench at one time. With 28 runners on the training camp roster, in order for all of them to play, 4 of those 28 will play the entire game. I would presume the four will be players that the team really wants to get a good look at. Any players with any nagging injuries will only play a half maybe even not at all depending on how confident the coaching staff feels about a particular player's competency.
  • The Knighthawks are the three-time defending champions and swept the Swarm in last season's three-game series.
  • Former Swarm with the Knighthawks - Jon Sullivan, Craig Point, Scott Campbell and Angus Goodleaf
  • This was supposed to be the first NLL game between the Noble brothers, Jason of the Swarm and Jeremy of the Knighthawks, but Jeremy, the second overall pick in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft has not signed with the team due to work and reports say that only Colorado is an option for him due to his living there.
  • The Knighthawks are led by NLL MVP Cody Jamieson and four-time NLL Goaltender of the Year Matt Vinc.

  • Andrew Suitor, Jason Noble and Mitch Belisle will not be playing tonight for the Swarm
