Game Notes
- The Swarm have lost six in a row and the season series to the Bandits. They are three games out of the playoffs and need to win out probably to make the playoffs. They have also been held to nine or less goals in six of their last seven games. With the loss, the Swarm have lost six straight games and have lost an extremely important season series to the Bandits. The loss will make it nearly impossible for the Swarm now to make the playoffs.
- The Minnesota Swarm fell behind 5-0 within six minutes of the start of the game and spent the rest of the night vainly trying to comeback.
- Also, the offense is in a deep freeze as they have been to held to nine or fewer goals in six of their last seven games.
- Callum Crawford made his return to the lineup after missing three games and had two goals and two assists as did Miles Thompson and Shayne Jackson.
- David Earl made his return to the lineup for the first time since January 24th and had an assist and four loose balls after recovering from a shoulder injury.
- Kiel Matisz was placed on the injured reserve-2nd level and Logan Schuss was placed on the hold out list prior to the game. Matisz will be eligible to come back maybe April 11th at the earliest from his broken right arm or wrist. Schuss, it appears, will be a game to game decision based on whether he has work issues.
- Zach Higgins and Brodie MacDonald split time in net, with Higgins starting and finally finishing the game.
- In the two games between the two teams this season, the Bandits have outscored the Swarm 20-8 in the first half. A strong start in both games by the Bandits have buried the Swarm.
- The Swarm have now lost seven straight in Buffalo.
- The Swarm have been eliminated from winning the East Division regular season title. The highest they could finish now is second in the East.
