09/17/04 - Marty O'Neill Named Minnesota Lacrosse General Manager
Minnesota Lacrosse announced today that Marty O'Neill will become the team's first General Manager.
O'Neill was recently the Philadelphia Wings General Manager from 2002 - 2004, where the Wings went 23-26 with a playoff
appearance in 2002. The Wings let O'Neill go after the 2004 season.
O'Neill has extensive playing experience in the NLL, WLA and MSL. A goaltender, O'Neill played for Boston, Syracuse and Buffalo from
1993 - 2000. He played in 66 games with a 13.27 GAA and .717 Save %. He has won three Mann Cups (two in Victoria and one in Six Nations).
O'Neill was born in Winnipeg but grew up in Victoria where he learned the game and also has developed a company that makes goaltending equipment.
