The Minnesota Swarm started the draft off with Nolan Heavenor at pick #17. He plays summer ball for the
the Victoria Shamrocks like many Swarm do. He was a projected late 1st Rounder, but fell to the middle of the second round. With Victoria,
he had 12 goals and 16 assists in 2005 regular season and 7 goals and 5 assists so far in the playoffs on a team with immense offensive talent. He attended college at Division II Limestone.
The Swarm had pick #23 in the third round but traded it to Toronto for a 3rd Rounder in '06 and forward Ryan Painter who was on the IR in '05. Played with Ottawa in 2002 & 2003 and the Rock in '04. According to his stats, he had a very good year in '02. I guess we will see.
