  • 07/20/05 - Lots of Movement for the Swarm at Storm Dispersal Draft

    The Swarm selected Bruce Murray and Ryan Powell in the Storm Dispersal Draft but by the end of the day both were traded to Portland in a series of three trades that eventually saw the Swarm re-acquire Brock Boyle from Portland and three draft picks including a first in 2006 and 2007. The Swarm also dealt Teddy Jenner and Kerry Susheski to Edmonton.

    Subtotaling all the action:

    • The Swarm got Boyle, Murray, third rounder in 2005 and first rounder in 2006 from Portland, first rounder in 2007 from Edmonton
    • The Swarm traded away Jenner, Susheski and third rounder in 2005 to Edmonton and first rounder in 2005 to Philadelphia.
    • The Swarm also released Shawn Summerfield and Mike Attwood as they made their picks.


  • 07/13/05 - Boyle and Campbell Taken in Expansion Draft

    The Minnesota Swarm lost Brock Boyle to the Portland LumberJax and Scott Campbell to the Edmonton Rush in today's Expansion Draft. When Boyle was taken, the Swarm then protected Michael Kilby from being taken.
