  • 05/11/06 - The New Chicago franchise to be known as the Chicago Shamrox

    The Minnesota Swarm's hopefully soon to be rivals in Chicago finally have a nickname, they will be known as the Chicago Shamrox. They will begin play in 2007.

  • 05/10/06 - Nick Patterson Named NLL 2nd Team All-Pro

    The NLL announced that Swarm goaltender Nick Patterson was named to the NLL All-Pro 2nd Team. Patterson is the first Swarm player ever named All-Pro in team history. After a 2005 season that saw Patterson dispersed due to the Vancouver Ravens being folded, a rough first appearance in the Swarm's ever first home game and an injury that nearly wiped out the rest of the season, 2006 was a season that Swarm fans got to see what Nick Patterson really can be now and what he will be in the future. Nick finished the season with a 6-2 record, 10.40 GAA and .790 save percentage.
