- 11/28/08 - Preview:Minnesota Swarm vs Rochester Knighthawks
The Minnesota Swarm take the floor for the first time leading up to the 2009 season in a pre-season scrimmage against the
Rochester Knighthawks on Sunday, November 30. The game is in Six Nations, Ontario at 11:00 am CST but is closed to the public.
- 11/18/08 - The Swarm sign Liam Neufeld
The Swarm signed defenseman Liam Neufeld to an one-year contract on Tuesday. Neufeld just finished up playing junior
A ball with St. Catherines Athletics this past summer. He was coached by Minnesota Swarm Assistant Head Coach
Mike Lines and Ian Rubel.

- 11/17/08 - The Swarm sign six for 2009 including goaltender Angus Goodleaf
The Swarm signed six players to one-year contracts on Monday. Goaltender Angus Goodleaf leads the signees.
Goodleaf was drafted by the Swarm last year with the 51st pick in the fourth round. Goodleaf spent 2008 on the practice roster.
Goaltender Josh Agar will join Goodleaf in the pipes. The Orangeville, ON native has played with the
Wellington Aces of the OLA Sr. B circuit the last three years in the summer. Forward Chris Eccles
joins the Swarm out of Ohio Wesleyan where he was a third team NCAA Division III All-American in 2007 and honorable mention in 2006
and 2008. Forward Kyle Goertz is a two year Senior A veteran in Ontario playing for Minnesota Swarm
Head Coach Duane Jacobs in Six Nations. Forward Jason Mainer played his first year of Senior A this past summer in Brooklin and was the MVP of the CUFLA championship game on November 9, 2008 playing for
Guelph. Defenseman Tate Price played college ball at Colorado but has spent the past two summers
playing in B.C. in both the Sr. A and Sr. B circuits, including five games with the Coquiltam Adanacs.
- 11/17/08 - Chris Courtney traded to the Knighthawks
Defenseman Chris Courtney was traded today to the Rochester Knighthawks in exchange for the
Knighthawks fourth round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft. Courtney was drafted by the Swarm in the second round with the 27th pick
in the 2007 Entry Draft. Courtney scored a goal in his first ever NLL game against Toronto on January 11, 2008. He played in
two games in his first season in which he scored one goal, one assist and scooped up nine loosies.

2008 - 09 Minnesota Swarm Training Camp Roster
The Minnesota Swarm started training camp for the upcoming season yesterday in Six Nations, Ontario at
the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. This is the first of four weekends the Swarm will conduct camp.
Exhibition games will be played in Six Nations against the Rochester Knighthawks on November 30 and the Buffalo Bandits on
December 13. The Swarm will conduct camp in the Twin Cities from December 5 through December 7. The link above is the roster
for camp to the best of my knowledge.

Peterborough Examiner: Sharp Re-signs with Swarm
- 11/04/08 - Ryan Sharp re-signs for two more years
Defenseman Ryan Sharp signs a two year contract to remain with the Swarm today. The lefthanded Sharp
signed for two years last year and was under contract for this year already but he has either extended his contract two years or
a completely new contract was written up. Sharp will be entering his third season with the Swarm after being acquired in a trade
from the Portland LumberJax on February 9, 2007 for a first and second round pick in the 2007 draft and a third rounder in 2008.
Sharp scored nine goals and eleven assists in fifteen games last year for the Swarm and scored a goal in the playoff game against
the Titans on May 3, 2008.
