07/13/11 - The Swarm made their first off-season trade when they moved Ryan Cousins,
Aaron Wilson, Kevin Croswell and a second round pick in the 2011 Entry Draft to the Edmonton Rush for a first and fourth
round pick in 2011 and a second round pick in 2012. Cousins had been with the team for the first seven years of the team and had been the only captain in
the team's history. However, he had only played parts of the last two seasons due to work, which may have led to him being moved. Wilson arrived in 2009 and
had provided instant offense with a team record 40 goals in 2010 (since passed by Ryan Benesch with 46 in 2011). Croswell
was drafted in 2006 by the Swarm and had backed up Nick Patterson in net since 2008. This trade brought another first rounder
for the Swarm in 2011, which now gives them two.
07/07/11 - The Swarm re-signed UFA Noah Talbot to a three-year contract and Kevin Croswell to
an one-year contract. Talbot has been with the Swarm since 2006 and has played in a team record 75 consecutive games while being the team's top lefthander
defender. Croswell returns to back up Nick Patterson in net. Croswell played in four games last year with a 12.44 GAA and
.795 save %.
