Pollock, Kemp and Disher Re-Sign for 2007

December 13, 2006

The Swarm re-signed the following players to one-year contracts for the 2007 season:

2006 Stats

    • F - Sean Pollock - 15 GP 16g 24 a 62 LB - (2005-06) Swarm - Before the Swarm’s original season, the new team in the NLL got the chance to pick the unwashed and unwanted from the other teams in the expansion draft. The Swarm picked ten players that day. Only one remains standing in a Swarm uniform and he is now washed and wanted. That man is #17 Sean Pollock, the red-haired right-hander who crashes the net and gives no quarter. Polly is now looking to make the Twin Cities a year-round home for himself.
    • D - Riley Kemp - 16 GP 3g 7a 70 LB - (2005-06) Swarm - Signed as a free agent before the Swarm’s first season, #77 Riley Kemp has made the most out of his opportunity. He is the only player in Swarm history to play in all 32 regular season games. The Enimem wannabe, Rilo will be counted on to provide pressure defense and more goals in transition this year.
    • G - Matt Disher - 8 GP 2-6 10.92 GAA .773 Save % - (2005-06) Swarm - #1 Matt Disher returns between the pipes. The Swarm’s first ever goaltender, Disher has established himself as a top-notch netminder after stops in Buffalo, Ottawa and Anaheim. The Vancouver-based banker was in net for the Swarm’s first ever win in their first ever game against the Rochester Knighthawks. Against the Toronto Rock on April Fools Day last season, Dish came into that game in relief in the third quarter down 8-2 and helped lead the spectacular comeback 10-9 win on “Chips and Guac” night.
