Seven Signed to Contracts Today

November 21, 2007

The Swarm signed the following players to two-year contracts:

  • F - Ryan Ward - 15GP 23g 52a 44 LB - (2005-07 Swarm) - The Swarm's all-time leading scorer set Swarm single season records with 52 assists and 75 points. He made his first All-Star appearance last year and had a game-winning goal against Philadelphia on March 18, 2007.
  • D - Jon Sullivan - 16 GP 0g 6a 53 LB - (2005-07 Swarm) - Sullivan continues to impress on defense in his time with the Swarm as he contiues to defend the best in the league well.
  • D - Eric Pacey - 12 GP 1g 5a 27 LB - (2005-07 Swarm) - Pacey remains steady in his third year with the Swarm with his highlight game against Toronto on April 6th when he led the Swarm with a goal and four assists.

The Swarm signed the following players to one-year contracts:

  • D - Mark Miyashita - 8 GP 3g 5a 98 LB - (2006-07 Swarm) - Miyashita was having a great season in 2007 for the team having won 129 of his 215 face offs before a knee injury ended his season on March 18th. He is still on injured reserve and the questions are (1)When will he be ready to go? (2)How well will he really be?
  • D - Kyle Ross - 2 GP 0g 1a 6 LB - (2007 Swarm) - After spending time on the practice roster the last two years, Ross finally got into the lineup late last year. More will be expected this year with Michael Kilby and Brock Boyle gone.
  • D - Chris Courtney - Selected 27th in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft
  • G - Angus Goodleaf - Selected 51st in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft
