• 08/27/07 - First Minnesotan to Sign with Minnesota

  Today at the Minnesota State Fair, Swarm General Manager Marty O'Neill mentioned that the Swarm are going to sign Colin Achenbach. Achenbach is from Burnsville, Minnesota, went to Apple Valley HS but since the high school did not have a team he played for the RAVE club team. He went to Pace University for two years before finishing up collegiately at CW Post where he graduated in 2006. He was a First Team Division II All-American as a senior in 2006. He was on the New York Titan practice squad in 2007 and was on the practice squad of the Phialdelphia Barrage of the MLL this summer. He is projected to be a forward but is not guaranteed a spot out of training camp.

• 08/15/07 - 2008 Division Alignment

  The NLL announced the division alignment for the 2008 season unless the NLL and the PLPA don't come up with a new CBA. The divisions will be unbalanced even with their being fourteen teams, with Minnesota and Chicago staying together in the East:
