• 07/31/07 - Stewart Selected by Boston

  Boston selected Scott Stewart in their expansion draft. Stewart was acquired by the Swarm from the LumberJax for Ryder Bateman in February 2006. Stewart played one game for the Swarm in 2006 but suffered a season-ending knee injury. He returned healthy in 2007 and did well with 17g 23a 57 LB in 15 games. He scored the game winner in the Swarm's first win of the 2007 season against 2007 NLL Champion Rochester Knighthawks on January 19th. That was the last loss for the champs this season.

• 07/25/07 - The Swarm Announce Protected List for Expansion Draft

  The Minnesota Swarm announced their protected list for the Boston Expansion Draft that occurs on July 31st. Boston will get the opportunity to choose one player from each team in the NLL. Below are the players the Swarm are protecting:

  Goaltenders

  • Matt Disher
  • Nick Patterson

  Runners

  • Kasey Beirnes
  • Ryan Cousins
  • Chad Culp
  • Dean Hill
  • Mike Hominuck
  • Eric Pacey
  • Sean Pollock
  • Ryan Sharp
  • Jon Sullivan
  • Ryan Ward

  Both Sullivan and Pacey were left unprotected last year and were taken by the Titans only to be reacquired a couple days later in a trade. Interesting players left off the list are Brock Boyle, Michael Kilby and Noah Talbot.
