- 09/17/07 - The Swarm Announce Their 2008 Schedule
The Minnesota Swarm open the 2008 season at The Hive against the 2007 NLL Champions Cup winning Rochester Knighthawks on January 4th. They will play your usual Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays but this year they also get a game on Monday afternoon and on Thursday night. All of this will be controversial but then again the league needs a CBA to be done to play any of these games.
- 09/12/07 - Inch and Croswell Signed
The Minnesota Swarm signed two players today that hope to make their NLL debuts in Minnesota in 2008.
Defenseman Nick Inch was acquired on draft day in 2006 from Toronto but sat out the 2007 season. This past summer he played with Kitchener-Waterloo in the
MSL had 2g 1a in 11 games. The Swarm also brought back 2006 draft pick, goaltender Kevin Croswell, who the Swarm had on the practice roster at the end of the
2007. The Swarm now have four goaltenders in the system with Nick Patterson, Matt Disher, Angus Goodleaf and Croswell.
- 09/02/07 - Minnesota Swarm Roster After 2007 NLL Entry Draft
The Minnesota Swarm finished up the 2007 NLL Entry Draft yesterday with the headliner being the acquisition of the third overall pick Craig Point from the expansion Boston Blazers. Or was the big news the various draft day trades that sent Kasey Beirnes, Brock Boyle, Michael Kilby and Spencer Martin to other NLL locales. Or maybe you are intrigued
with the first Swarm first rounder since 2004, Justin Norbraten.
- 09/01/07 - Big Moves Made On Draft Day by the Swarm
Minnesota Swarm General Manager Marty O'Neill made waves at today's 2007 NLL Entry Draft at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. The Swarm entered the day with the eighth and ninth picks in the first round. But by the end of day, the Swarm had quite a new look. Take a look at the link above at what transpired today.
