- 12/23/10 - Minnesota Swarm Announce Roster for 2011 Season
The Minnesota Swarm announced their 23-man active roster for the upcoming
2011 season. Six players are new from the 2010 Swarm active roster at the end of last
year.
- 9 - Tyler Hass - Selected in the 2006 Entry Draft but made team in first training camp
- 20 - Andrew Suitor - Selected with the 4th pick overall in the 2010 Entry Draft
- 24 - Rory Smoth - Selected with the 4th pick in the Titans Dispersal Draft
- 27 - Mat Giles - Acquired in a trade from Boston
- 47 - Travis Hill - Activated from injured reserve
- 85 - Matt Kelly - Selected in the 2009 Entry Draft but spent 2010 recovering from knee surgery

- 12/22/10 - Swarm Release Eight. Four more to go
The Minnesota Swarm cut eight players today:
27 players remain on the active roster. The roster must be trimmed to 23 on Thursday, Dceember 23. Brock Boyle,
Tyler Hass, Sean Thomson, Matt Lyons and
Matt Kelly are battling for spots 22 and 23. It looks like goaltending will continue with both
Nick Patterson and Kevin Croswell for a fourth straight year with Dickie
being released. Look for Hurley and Rodgers to be signed to the practice roster at a later date.
- 12/01/10 - Giles Becomes Swarm Elder Statesman with the Swarm

The Minnesota Swarm signed unrestricted free agent Mat Giles to a two-year contract today. At 35, Giles
will be entering his 13th season in the NLL and his first with the Swarm. The Peterborogh, Ontario native has 194 goals and 227 assists
in 160 regular season games. A three-time Mann Cup winner with Peterborough, Giles won a Champions Cup with the Toronto Rock in 1999. Swarm General Manager
Marty O'Neill sees Giles being a very versatile two way player who can add righthanded scoring depth. Look
for Giles to wear #27 for the Swarm after Colin Achenbach's retirement a day earlier.
