    Minnesota Swarm
    (2-1 H 1-1 A 1-0)

    Washington Stealth
    (2-2 H 0-2 A 2-0)

Your and mine favorite local professional indoor lacrosse team, the Minnesota Swarm, are not looking up. They are looking down upon the rest of the West since they are now in first place in the division. On a two game winning streak and winning their first home game since Feburary 20, 2010 last weekend over Edmonton, 9-8, last week, the Swarm are to build on their success as they host the Washington Stealth this Saturday at The Hive at 7:30 pm. • 01/26/11 -Sharp Traded to (B)Rock Signed by the Swarm

    Ryan Sharp

    Brock Boyle

The Swarm traded Ryan Sharp to the Toronto Rock for a first round pick in the 2013 Entry Draft. Sharp had been with the Swarm since a midseason trade from Portland in 2007. In 42 games, Sharp had 19 goals and 23 assists. He had only played one game this year due to his police officer commitmments in Toronto. A trade to Toronto will be beneficial for Sharp to allow him to play more.

To replace Sharp, the Swarm signed Brock Boyle to an one-year contract. Boyle spent three years in Minnesota scoring 30 goals and 21 assists in 43 games. He has scored two game winning goals as a member of the Swarm in 2006. He last played in Rochester in 2009 and was cut from Swarm camp the last two years. Brock will be wearing #57 with the Swarm. He has ' worn #10 & #24 with the Swarm in the past.

  • 01/22/11 -Swarm vs Rush Preview

    Minnesota Swarm
    (1-1 H 0-1 A 1-0)

    Edmonton Rush
    (0-2 H 0-0 A 0-2)

The last time we saw your and mine favorite professional indoor lacrosse team, the Minnesota Swarm, they had just done something not seen by the residents of Swarmville for a very, very, very, very long time ... win!!! And we know hell has frozen over since, just walk outside this week in Minnesota to feel it. Eight straight losses dating back to last year are in the rear view mirror after Ryan Benesch made the Stealth his (rhymes with stitch) female canine with a single game team record seven goals. Only problem is that they won on the internet, can they do the same this Saturday as they host the Edmonton Rush Live at The Hive in front of Swarm Naton on Saturday, January 22nd at 7:30 pm CST? • 01/16/11 -Benesch and the Swarm Sock it to the Stealth

    Minnesota Swarm
    (1-1 H 0-1 A 1-0)

    Washington Stealth
    (1-2 H 0-2 A 1-0)

    Friday, January 14, 2011
    St. Paul, Minnesota
    Attendance: 3,362

The Minnesota Swarm came off a tough home opener only to visit the defending NLL Champions, the Washington Stealth. A tough challenge for sure but one that was met quite convincingly. Led by Ryan Benesch's Swarm single game record seven goals, the Swarm socked the Stealth by a 16-8 score last Friday night. Benesch's seven goals notched the first Swarm sock trick (six goals) in team history. Nick Paatterson also had a stellar night in goal saving 50 of 58 shots on goal. Read More...

  • 01/13/11 -Swarm at Stealth Preview

    Minnesota Swarm
    (0-1 H 0-1 A 0-0)

    Washington Stealth
    (1-1 H 0-1 A 1-0)

Last week, your and mine favorite local professional indoor lacrosse team, the Minnesota Swarm, were befuddled at home with yet another overtime loss, 11-10, to the Rochester Knighthawks to open the 2011 season. The overtime losses at home just keep on rolling over from last year where they had four of them at home, including the last two home games. Now it continued into this season and the ansswers to change them seem even more out of reach. Can't worry about that now as they have now lost eight straight and are headed on the road to face the defending NLL champions, the Washington Stealth, on Friday night. Read More...

  • 01/11/11 -Swarm Out-Point-ed in Overtime

    Minnesota Swarm
    (0-1 H 0-1 A 0-0)

    Rochester Knighthawks
    (1-0 H 0-0 A 1-0)

    Saturday, January 8, 2011
    St. Paul, Minnesota
    Attendance: 8,242

The Minnesota Sawrm opened up the 2011 season at The Hive with much anticipation but the ending was all to familiar as they lost in overtime to the Rochester Knighthawks by a 11-10 score. Former Swarm Craig Point assisted on the game tying goal to force overtime and his dribbler past Swarm goaltender Nick Patterson three minutes into overtime brought victory to the visitors. • 01/05/11 -Swarm v. Knighthawks Preview

    Minnesota Swarm
    (0-0 H 0-0 A 0-0)

    Rochester Knighthawks
    (0-0 H 0-0 A 0-0)

Your and mine favorite local professinal indoor lacrosse team's, the Minnesota Swarm, off-season has been a quiet one in comparison to the rest of the National Lacrosse League. With little roster turnover and no training camp locally, the Swarm are a bit of mystery as that we really haven't seen them up close since the playoff loss to Washington on May 1 but they look the same pretty much roster wise. Fans will hope the results are different for 2011 after six one-goal losses, a seven game losing streak to end the season and a home losing streak of four at The Hive. Read More
