- 04/18/09 - Swarm Finish Season Earlier Than Usual
The Minnesota Swarm (6-10) finished their 2009 season at home on Saturday night losing to the East Division champions, the New York
Titans (10-6) by a score of 12-10. Sean Pollock led the Swarm with two goals and four assists as the Swarm lost five of their last
six to miss the playoffs for the first time since their inaugural 2005 season.
- 04/11/09 - Jax Clinch Home Playoff Game at the X
The Minnesota Swarm (6-9) had a disastrous second quarter they could not overcome as the Portland LumberJax (9-6) clinched a home
playoff game by a score of 19-14 at the X on Saturday night. The Swarm were led by
Kevin Buchanan's three goals and four assists
in the tough loss. Going into next weekend, the Swarm need to beat the New York Titans and have the Edmonton Rush beat the
Colorado Mammoth.
- 04/11/09 - Preview: Minnesota Sawrm vs Portland LumberJax
The Minnesota Swarm (6-8) fight for their playoff lives in 2009 as they host the Portland LumberJax (8-6) at the Xcel Energy
Center at 7:00 pm CST on Saturday, April 11. A LumberJax win will clinch a home playoff game for them. The Swarm beat the LumberJax
to open the season in Portland on January 3 by a 11-7 score.
- 04/04/09 - The Swarm Spoiled by Doyle and the Stealth
Colin Doyle (3g 10a) scored the most points against the Swarm in any game in their history as the Stealth (6-8) ran a precise
and quick 18-8 operation on the Swarm (5-8). The Stealth scored the first nine goals of the game and led 14-1 at one point in the
third quarter. Kevin Buchanan and Sean Pollock led the Swarm with two goals
and one assist each. The Swarm return home to host the Edmonton Rush (5-8), whom the Swarm are tied with in last place in
the West.
