  • 06/30/14 - Big Goaltender and Picks Trade for the Swarm with the Rush

    The Minnesota Swarm and the Edmonton Rush completed a major trade that will take effect (if league approves) on July 1st, which is the beginning of the 2015 NLL business year.

    The Minnesota Swarm get:

    • G Brodie MacDonald
    • Third overall pick in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft that originally belonged to Philadelphia

    The Edmonton Rush get:

    • G Tyler Carlson
    • First overall pick in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft
    • 2015 NLL Entry Draft second round pick


  • 06/30/14 - The 2014 NLL Entry Draft will be on September 22nd in Oakville, Ontario at the Toronto Rock Athletic Center. The Swarm have six picks including the third and fifth overall in the first round. The Swarm used to have the first overall pick but traded that today to Edmonton in the Carlson/MacDonald trade. Edmonton sent them back the third overall. The fifth overall pick that the Swarm have came from Buffalo in the Anthony Cosmo trade. Players that the Swarm may draft are Jeremy Noble (Jason Noble's twin brother), Ben MacIntosh and Miles Thompson, who just won the Tewaaraton trophy with his brother Lyle.

  • 06/30/14 - The Minnesota Wild announced that they will install a new video board over the floor for the upcoming 2014-15 season at the Xcel Energy Center. The video board will be six times as large as the current and original one. Swarm fans should be able to see the new board for the 2015 season. The Wild also will be redoing all seats during the 2015 year in time for the following year.

  • 06/29/14 - Suitor Slugging and Sorensen Scoring

    The video is from the Peterborough v. Six Nations game on June 28, 2014. Andrew Suitor reacts to some words by Six Nations' David Brock and Suitor gets the last word by knocking out Brock. Brock was laid out and had to be carried off. Brock Sorensen scores a beautiful goal on transition by shooting behind his back, between his legs and past the Six Nations goaltender.

  • 06/18/14 - The NLL announced the three finalists for 2014 NLL Rookie of the Year. The Minnesota Swarm's Logan Schuss will be competing with Edmonton's Robert Church and Colorado's Dillon Ward. The winner will be announced on September 21st at the 2014 NLL Season Awards Ceremony in Oakville, Ontario.

  • 06/16/14 - The NLL announced the three finalists for 2014 NLL Transition Player of the Year. The Minnesota Swarm's Jordan MacIntosh will be competing with Edmonton's Jeremy Thompson and Philadelphia's Brodie Merrill. MacIntosh won the award in 2013 and will be looking to repeat. The winner will be announced on September 21st at the 2014 NLL Season Awards Ceremony in Oakville, Ontario.
