  • 04/23/07 - Buffalo News: Playoff Review - Swarm 8 Bandits 14

  • 04/22/07 - Playoff Review 4/22/07: Swarm 8 Bandits 14

The Minnesota Swarm are on the cusp of being a great story but as great writers will tell you, there can be times when writer’s block appears. You look at it from every angle, you twist and turn as you attack it but you can’t get past it. The Swarm’s block is the Buffalo Bandits and they couldn’t unlock the block on Sunday, April 22 as their season ended in the first round of playoffs for a second straight year in Buffalo by a score of 14-8. With the win in front of 9,003 orange and black clad fans, the Bandits will go to Rochester to play the Knighthawks for the East Division title on Friday, April 27.

  • 04/19/07 - Patterson Named NLL Defensive Player of the Week

Nick Patterson was named NLL Defensive Player of the Week ending April 15th. He made 47 saves in the Swarm's playoff clinching win over the Wings last Friday. This season, Patterson won a Swarm single season record 7 games in net. He finished the regular season 7-5 11.43 GAA and .775 Save %. He will be looking to start his second playoff game for the Swarm this Sunday against Buffalo. He is definitely looking to do better than he did last year in the playoff game against Buffalo when he got pulled in the second quarter. Nevertheless, with ten starts this year, it is clearly evident that Patterson is the number one guy in net in Minnesota.

  • 04/14/07 - Review 4/14/07: Swarm 16 Sting 15

In a thrilling back and forth game, the Swarm finish the regular season with a 16-15 win over the Arizona Sting at The Hive. Chad Culp scored the game winner with 0.8 seconds left after grabbing a rebound. Arizona Head Coach Derek Keenan called for a review of Culp's stick in hopes to send the game to overtime but the stick was legal and so was the Swarm's victory. The win clinches the first winning season in Swarm history as the team finishes the regular season at 9-7.

  • 04/13/07 - Review 4/13/07: Swarm 11 Wings 8

Nick Patterson's 47 saves and Sean Pollock's three goals clinched a playoff spot for the Minnesota Swarm as they beat the Philadelphia Wings, 11-8, in Philadelphia. This will mark the Swarm's second straight playoff appearance and two times in their three year history. The Swarm have clinched third in the East and will travel to Buffalo once again to play the Bandits to open the playoffs.

  • 04/07/07 - Review 4/7/07: Swarm 9 Knighthawks 19

After a great win in Toronto to start the weekend, the Minnesota Swarm (7-7) got whipsawed in Rochester by the Knighthawks (12-2), 19-9. With the loss and Philadelphia's win, the Swarm still have not clinched a playoff spot.

  • 04/06/07 - Review 4/6/07: Swarm 13 Rock 11

Eric Pacey leads the Swarm with a career night with one goal and four assists as the Minnesota Swarm (7-6) ended their two game losing streak with a 13-11 victory over the Toronto Rock (6-8) at the Air Canada Centre. A win in Rochester or a Philadelphia loss to New York on Saturday and the Swarm clinch a playoff spot.
