Minnesota Swarm 23-Man Roster for 2009

Announced December 18, 2008

The Minnesota Swarm announced their 23-man active roster for the upcoming 2009 season. Eight players are new from the 2008 Swarm Roster at the end of last year. If in Bold, that player is completely new to the Swarm:

  • 33 - Kevin Buchanan - Drafted first round pick eleven in 2008 Entry Draft
  • 4 - Joe Cinosky - Drafted first round pick thirteen in 2008 Entry Draft
  • 21 - Kevin Fines - Drafted tenth in the Chicago Shamrox Dispersal Draft
  • 28 - Darren Halls - Activated off Injured Reserve List
  • 71 - Kevin Ross - Signed as a free agent after being released by the Chicago Shamrox
  • 73 - Dean Hill - Activated off Physically Unable to Perform List
  • 77 - Riley Kemp - Activated off Injured Reserve List
  • 22 - Andrew Watt - Drafted first round pick eight in 2008 Entry Draft

Eight players who were on the 2008 Swarm Roster at the end of last year are not on the active roster to start this year:

  • Andrew Biers - Traded to Edmonton
  • Chris Courtney - Traded to Rochester
  • Keith Cromwell - Placed on Protected Player List
  • Rory McDade - Released
