- 01/28/05 - Review: Swarm 7 Storm 8
The Minnesota Swarm jumped out to a 5-0 lead to start the game but a Anaheim Storm goaltending change after that stalled
the Swarm momentum and the Storm came back to win 8-7. Kerry Susheski had his second
straight two goal game to lead the team. Matt Disher continued his great play
in Swarm season one with 40 saves. The Swarm are now 0-2 at home with their next home game on February 11th
against Toronto.
- 01/28/05 - Swarm Moves Before Anaheim Home Game
The Swarm brought back defenseman Trent Smalley a week after releasing him to stiffen
up the defense that has given up 42 goals over the last three games. To make room for Smalley, the Swarm
released Jon Harasym who had 3 goals and 3 assists in two games for the Swarm this season.
- 01/26/05 - Disher Named NLL Defensive Player of the Week
Swarm goaltender Matt Disher was named the NLL Defensive Player of the Week Ending January 22nd.
Disher had 38 saves against San Jose on January 21st in the Swarm's 9-8 victory. Disher is 2-1 this season has at least 38 saves
in each of his three games. If not for him, the Swarm could easily be 0-4 this season.
- 01/22/05 - Review: Swarm 9 Stealth 8
Kerry Susheski got the game winner with 4:56 left in the game to hold off the Stealth
in San Jose by a 9-8. The Swarm split the weekend with a loss to Buffalo the night before in their home opener.
Susheski, Kelly Hall and Jamie Taylor each had two goals in the
victory. Derek Malawsky, the player who did not want to play in Minnesota and for whom we traded to get Hall, only had
two assists.
- 01/21/05 - Review: Swarm 10 Bandits 15
The fans showed up for the first regular season home opener in Minnesota Swarm history but the
Buffalo Bandits brought a literal and figurative blizzard with them as they buried the Swarm, 15-10.
Kelly Hall made his Swarm debut with two goals while
Craig Conn had three more goals and his third hat trick to start the season.
- 01/21/05 - Swarm Moves Before Home Opener
The Swarm signed two players, forward Kelly Hall and defenseman
Michael Kilby to one year contracts in time for the home opener against the Buffalo Bandits. Hall was acquired
from the San Jose Stealth two weeks ago while Kilby initially made the Swarm season opening roster but was released prior to the
season opener against Rochester.
To make room on the roster for Hall and Kilby, the team released Jayme Bryde and
Trent Smalley. Both Bryde and Smalley played in the season opener against Rochester
with Bryde getting a goal but neither of them played last weekend against the Rock.
- 01/19/05 - Kemp Named NLL Rookie of the Week

The Minnesota Swarm now have their first regular season loss in history as the lost 19-15 to the Rock in Toronto.
Craig Conn continues his hot start with four goals and two assists. Swarm first round
pick Ryder Bateman made his NLL and Swarm debut but was held scoreless.
Swarm Captain Ryan Cousins and Shawn Nadelen had two
goals each. The Swarm were within one goal early in the fourth quarter, 16-15, on a goal by Nadelen before the Rock
scored three unanswered to finish the Swarm off.
- 01/07/05 - Kelly Hall Comes to Minnesota
The Minnesota Swarm acquired lefty forward Kelly Hall from the San Jose Stealth along
with the Stealth's first rounder in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft for Derek Malawsky and the Swarm's second rounder in the
2006 NLL Entry Draft.
Hall is entering his second year after scoring a goal and nine assists in six games last year for the Stealth. The
Swarm are placing Hall on the protected list for the time being leaving the active roster intact from the first game.
Malawsky had held out as he did not want to travel to Minnesota and all the games out East the Swarm play. Malawsky
would have been a great veteran help on offense for the Swarm but well he did not want to be here.
- 01/05/05 - Conn Earns Some NLL Weekly Awards
Swarm Star Craig Conn was named the NLL Overall and Offensive Player for the Week Ending January 2nd.
