October 2005 Updates

September 2005 | Current Month | Other Months | November 2005

  • 10/28/05 - Disher, Bateman and Pacey Re-Sign

The Swarm sign up three big pieces for 2006

  • 10/26/05 - Pollock and Culp Back For One More Year

The Swarm re-sign forwards Sean Pollock and Chad Culp to one year contracts today. Pollock had 9 goals and 16 assists last season including the game winner in the final 2005 home game against Philadelphia. Culp finished with 18 goals and 23 assists including the game winner in the Swarm's first home victory over Rochester on March 25th.

  • 10/21/05 - Ryan Ward Signs a TWO YEAR CONTRACT with the Swarm

Ryan Ward signs the first ever two-year contract to play with the Swarm. Ward was acquired during the season on February 5th from Philadelphia for a first round pick in 2006 and Shawn Nadelen. Ward finished second in scoring for the Swarm in 2005 with 19 goals and 25 assists. Overall, Ward had 24 goals and 27 assists with both Minnesota and Philadelphia.

  • 10/21/05 - The Swarm Announce Seven Signings for One Year

The Minnesota Swarm signed seven players to contracts that expire after the 2007.

Four players from last season's Swarm's first season re-signed with the team:

The Swarm signed top pick Nolan Heavenor, 2004 Draft pick Kyle Ross and Darryl Gibson, who the same acquired in a trade from Arizona this past June.

  • 10/15/05 - Signings 10/14/05: 4 coming back and 1 new face

Brock Boyle is signed, sealed and delivered for 2006. The mohawk coiffed man is back to help lead the defense.

Captain Ryan Cousins also has signed for 2006. Good timing, since I made the winning bid on NLL auctions on the 13th for the 27' X 22' first gamesheet displayed signed by Ryan along with his picture. It should be here in a couple weeks.

In addition, the well spoken Travis Hill and tough guy Michael Kilby are signed for 2006.

We also have a new guy signed in Rory McDade, who is also new to the NLL and who played for Burnaby in the WLA as a forward in 2005.

More to come as the countdown to a Wings beat down is 2 months and 22 days.
