03/25/12 - - preview - Minnesota Swarm at Washington Stealth
The Minnesota Swarm finish their four game road trip where it began in Everett, Washington to face the Washington Stealth. A win tonight will clinch
the season series for the Swarm. Ryan Benesch. with 51 points leads the Swarm and he is two short of 100 regular sesson
goals for the Swarm. The Stealth lsot the night before in Edmonton, 10-9, but will have Rhsy Duch, Jeff Zywicki and Tyler Richards in the line up, all of
whom missed last month's game.
- 03/22/12 - Updated depth chart with Greg Downing placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Jamie Shwechuk was traded on Tuesday to the
Colorado Mammoth for a third rounder in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft. Michael Brascia was signed to a three year contract to replace Downing. Brascia is a
rookie who was in Swarm training camp this year. Josh Gillam was signed to an one-year contract replacing Pat Smith, who played one game in place of
Shewchuk. Gillam was drafted in the 2010 NLL Entry Draft by the Swarm but has now decided to play lacrosse again after persuing a pro hockey
career in Germany this past season.

- 03/17/12 - The Swarm End Up on Back End of Bandits Weekend Sweep
The Swarm cam back from a 9-3 halftime defecit to get with 11-9 in the fourth quarter but end up losing 13-10 in Buffalo against the Bandits. The loss
ended a two game winning streak for the Swarm. Ryan Benesch, Callum Crawford
and Pat Smith each scored two goals in the game for the Swarm. Smith's goals were his first in the NLl in his first ever
game. Josh Gillam also made his NLL and Swarm debut assisting on a goal.
- 03/04/12 - Suitor's Example Leads the Swarm to Victory in Calgary
Andrew Suitor's two goals and never give up attitude led the Swarm to a convincing 15-11 win in Calgary against
the Roughnecks on Saturday night. The win puts the Swarm in second place in the West Dvision and they now own a two game winning streak with both wins coming on the
road. Ryan Benesch had 4 goals and 3 assists and Tyler Carlson made 32 saves on 43 shots
for thw win. Richard Morgan got his first goal of the year and Kevin Ross notched
his first game winning goal for the Swarm. Ross and Jordan MacIntsoh continue to score at least one goal in each
game this season for the Swarm. Joel Henry assisted on a career high five goals as he played in front of hometown fans.
- 03/03/12 - Jamie Shewchuk placed on injured resrve. Pat Smith activated
Jamie Shewchuk was placed on injured reserve by the Swarm prior to the game in Calgary on Saturday. Shewchuk had
not played since Febuary 12th when he broke his hand against Rochester. He had
5 goals and 9 assists in 5 games this year.
Pat Smith will take Shewchuk's place on the roster. Smith has been on the team's practice roster the entire year after
the Swram drafted him out of Robert Morris this past September. The right handed forward has not yet seen NLL action.
These moves were backdated to February 17, 2012 per the National Lacrosse League which should make Shewchuk eligible to come back
for the Swarm's next home game on March 30th against Calgary.
- 03/01/12 - Evan Kirk named NLL Rookie of the Month
Evan Kirk was named NLL Rookie of the Month for Feburary after going 2-0 in his two starts in the mohth. He won
NLL Rookie of Week for both of his starts in the month. He has an .873 save % and a 6.50 GAA this year.
