- 12/15/12 - Joel Henry scores five goals to win 1st Annual Nutcracker Trophy
The Swarm held the 1st Annual Nutracker game today, basically an intrasquad scrimmage to finish off training camp. The team was split up between Team Blue and
Team Gold. Team Blue behind Henry's five goals won 10-8. Evan Kirk and Zach Higgins were in net for the Blue while Tyler Carlson and Ryan Masters were in net for Gold.
- 12/11/12 - The Swarm released five players today after week two of training camp: Chris Cudmore, Cody Jacobs,
Ian Crawford, Joe Wasson and Bryan Campbell.
That leaves 28 players heading into the final weekend of training camp next weekend in Oakville, Ontario. The team must have their roster set at 23 active
rosters players by December 20th. Look for two of the four goaltenders to be released, with one possibly being signed to the practice roster. The Swarm probably
want to get the two rookies some more time in camp and also it helps to have them in camp for any intrasquad scrimmaging they may partake in this weekend. Also,
look for some trimming of righthhanded forwards.
