- 11/02/07 - 2008 Minnesota Swarm Schedule - Version 2
The Minnesota Swarm announced the "New" 2008 Minnesota Swarm schedule today. With the new CBA agreed to last week, the NLL is moving forward; however, most teams released their dates from
the original schedule and not all of them could be retrieved. Even more importantly, the NLL will only have 12 teams for 2008 not the 14 teams originally scheduled for. The expansion Boston Blazers have decided to wait until the 2009 season to begin. The Arizona Sting will be taking the 2008 season off and hope to return in 2009. One could see Boston in 2009 as they haven't even played yet and a year more of preparation couldn't hurt but the bet is Arizona does not make it back. Either way, players will be dispersed from both teams later this month.
With all of that in mind, the Swarm's new schedule is radically different with them opening the season in Toronto on January 11th and then hosting Toronto at The Hive on January 12th for
the home opener. See all the revisions, etc. at the above link.
